WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Guide and assist operational B-BBEE compliance policies and strategies.
- Assist with the implementation of relevant transformation projects.
- Update the BEE policy and associated processes as and when required.
- Implement processes to ensure compliance and improvement of scores.
- Monthly monitoring of Score card and reporting on organizational risks and mitigation.
- Report on Transformation initiatives at the Transformation Committee meetings.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition on development and succession.
- Drive the Group succession and talent agendas through people development.
- Compile and present files for the annual BBBEE verification.
- Communicate and monitor the collation of the required data for the annual verification together with other required documentation.
- Monitor RDM’s compliance to the Defense Sector Scorecard targets, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
- Align all Training & Development activities with the strategic objectives of RDM.
- Assist Line Management with developmental plans and career paths in line with the business growth strategy.
- Identify and implement relevant interventions to address skills gaps in critical roles.
- Management of the Development and Transformation budget.
- Develop and maintain a robust succession pipeline for key positions in the entire organization.
- Identify interventions and strategies for development and succession.
- Manage, maintain and report on the Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report to CHIETA.
- Compile and report on developmental plans & training interventions for identified critical roles including succession roles.
- Compile and report annually to the Department of Employment and Labour on Employment Equity.
- Compile and monitor monthly skills development reports on Bursaries, Internships, Apprenticeships and WIL initiatives.
- Monitor the Skills Development and Transformation targets and budget on a monthly basis to ensure compliance.
- Manage the Accelerated Graduate Programme from start to finish.
- Manage CSI projects aimed at BBBEE compliance.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives on CSI.
- Use the BBBEE monthly scorecard tool to monitor and evaluate the progress of the B-BBEE implementation Plan.
- Monitor monthly progress with regards to each operation’s B-BBEE status and advise on action plans.
- Flag and escalate any non-compliance or deviation from the plan or procedure to the General Manager: Human Resources
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- NQF 7 (Bachelor’s Degree) in Human Resource or equivalent qualification.
- At least 7 years’ experience in the field of development and transformation of which 3 years should have been in BBBEE.
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in B-BBEE administrative scorecards, systems and processes and Codes of Good Practice.
- At least 3 years’ experience in People Development and successful implementation of Succession and Retention initiatives.
- Knowledge, understanding and application of B-BBEE administrative scorecards, systems and processes.
- Broad understanding of the B-BBEE Act, the B-BBEE codes of good practice.
- Broad understanding of the defence Sector Charter Codes and the respective elements would be advantageous.
- Working Knowledge of other relevant legislation (Skills Development and Employment Equity Acts).
- Previous experience in managing development budgets.
- Ability to work under pressure and according to tight deadlines within a very complex organisational structure.
- Hands on and Good interpersonal skills.
- Data analysis and strong attention to detail.
- High propensity for change and a natural inclination to help drive and manage change in the organisation.
- Consistently following through on tasks and projects until completion.
- Ability to engage with employees at various levels of the organisation.

- Sound Knowledge and a good understanding of Legislative framework that drives transformation such as the BBBEE, Skills Development Act, Preferential Procurement and the Codes of Good Practice.
- Advanced literacy particularly in word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
