Insights: What our students say
Insights into working student roles: Maja S. on press and public relations
Maja S. is studying Public Relations and Communication in Düsseldorf. As a working student, she supports the press and public relations team at Rheinmetall, where she is actively involved in everything from content creation and social media to press releases.
“At Rheinmetall, I can put the theory I learn in the lecture theatre directly into practice – and do so in an environment that is truly relevant to society. I particularly appreciate the trust my team has placed in me from the very beginning, and the opportunity to work on topics with a significant public impact.”
Working student in Press and Public Relations, Rheinmetall AG
My working days are extremely varied. I create content for our social media channels, help draft press releases, respond to press enquiries and write my own articles for our corporate magazine DIMENSIONS. External engagements such as trade fairs, press events or interviews are particularly exciting. As a lot happens dynamically and at short notice in press relations, no two days are the same.
Insights into the internship: Marco Rubio on Markets & M&A
Marco R. is studying economics and is currently in his eighth semester. He is spending four months at Rheinmetall supporting the Markets & M&A department.
- "The internship at Rheinmetall offers me a dynamic environment with strong growth, where I can develop professionally and personally through independent projects. I particularly appreciate the feeling of being involved in something really meaningful."
Intern, Markets & M&A, Rheinmetall AG
I have taken on noticeable responsibility in the M&A team right from the start. I have been allowed to work on projects and carry out tasks independently that challenge me professionally and really help me develop. At the same time, the team is always there to support me: I can rely on my colleagues if I have any questions.
Insights into the internship: Christian Leupold on Markets & M&A
Christian L. is studying for a master's degree in Accounting & Corporate Finance and is currently in his first semester. He is spending four months as an intern at Rheinmetall in the Markets & M&A department, where he is gaining direct insight into M&A work and the Group's strategic growth phase.
"What I particularly like about Rheinmetall is that I was able to take on responsibility early on and work in a team that involved me from the very beginning. In the Markets & M&A environment, it is extremely exciting to witness strategic decisions up close."
Intern, Markets & M&A, Rheinmetall AG
My working day is very varied because I work on different projects at the same time, which gives me a broad insight into the M&A sector. I take on key tasks independently, for which I am given a lot of trust and responsibility. Thanks to close communication within the team and continuous involvement in ongoing issues, I am able to expand my technical expertise every day.
