Melissa P.

Working Student HR Market Intelligence, Rheinmetall AG

In which area do you currently work and what are your tasks on site?

I currently work in Total Rewards and am part of the HR Market Intelligence team at Rheinmetall. There I support my team in various projects, working closely with my colleagues. My focus is on preparing relevant data carefully and clearly and thus providing valuable insights for the team.

How does Rheinmetall support you in combining your job and studies?

Rheinmetall helps me to combine my job and studies flexibly. Thanks to the open communication within the team, I can arrange my working hours to fit in perfectly with my study schedule. This enables me to apply theoretical knowledge directly in practice and to develop both professionally and personally. The trust placed in me also motivates me and allows me to work independently.

What specific skills have you been able to develop or acquire so far?

During my time as a working student at Rheinmetall, I was able to further develop my analytical skills in particular. At the same time, I gained a lot of self-discipline and time management skills by managing my studies and work in parallel. The regular alternation between theoretical learning and practical work has significantly improved my flexibility and solution orientation. I was also able to expand my knowledge of using various data analysis tools and methods.

What was your personal highlight as a working student at Rheinmetall?

My personal highlight is definitely the teamwork. The joint workshops, where we all learn a lot from each other, are particularly cool. The team spirit and mutual support among us working students also make my time at Rheinmetall particularly valuable.

How would you describe the corporate culture at Rheinmetall?

I find the corporate culture at Rheinmetall to be open, trusting and respectful. Teamwork is very important here, and everyone is given the opportunity to make a valuable contribution and contribute their own ideas.

Why would you recommend Rheinmetall to other students?

I recommend Rheinmetall to other students because the company offers an excellent opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. The working atmosphere is extremely pleasant and you learn from experienced colleagues every day. I particularly appreciate the open communication and the strong support you receive here.

-          "The internship at Rheinmetall offers me a dynamic environment with strong growth, where I can develop professionally and personally through independent projects. I particularly appreciate the feeling of being involved in something really meaningful."

Marco R.

Intern, Markets & M&A, Rheinmetall AG

"Making coffee and photocopying" – how much of your internship is cliché and how much is real responsibility?

I have taken on noticeable responsibility in the M&A team right from the start. I have been allowed to work on projects and carry out tasks independently that challenge me professionally and really help me develop. At the same time, the team is always there to support me: I can rely on my colleagues if I have any questions.

How were you received by your team?

Very openly and warmly. From day one, I quickly felt integrated thanks to the friendly working culture and mutual support within the team. The open communication and trust placed in us interns is particularly helpful, allowing us to contribute ideas and learn from experienced colleagues.

What do you like most about the working atmosphere at Rheinmetall?

I particularly appreciate the open, trusting and respectful cooperation. The direct and transparent communication in our team makes coordination efficient and helps us to successfully drive projects forward together.

Would you recommend Rheinmetall as an employer? If so, why?

Yes, definitely. Rheinmetall offers a dynamic environment with strong growth and clear plans for the future. This is also reflected in the tasks I was able to take on as an intern: they helped me develop both professionally and personally. And I feel like I'm working on issues that really matter.

Christian L. is studying for a master's degree in Accounting & Corporate Finance and is currently in his first semester. He is spending four months as an intern at Rheinmetall in the Markets & M&A department, where he is gaining direct insight into M&A work and the Group's strategic growth phase.

"What I particularly like about Rheinmetall is that I was able to take on responsibility early on and work in a team that involved me from the very beginning. In the Markets & M&A environment, it is extremely exciting to witness strategic decisions up close."

Christian L.

Intern, Markets & M&A, Rheinmetall AG

What does a typical working day look like for you?

My working day is very varied because I work on different projects at the same time, which gives me a broad insight into the M&A sector. I take on key tasks independently, for which I am given a lot of trust and responsibility. Thanks to close communication within the team and continuous involvement in ongoing issues, I am able to expand my technical expertise every day.

How were you welcomed into your team?

From the very beginning, I was welcomed into the team with openness and appreciation. Our collaboration is characterised by direct, trusting communication, which means I can contribute my ideas and ask technical questions at any time.

Would you recommend Rheinmetall as an employer? If so, why?

Yes. Rheinmetall is in a strong growth phase and plays a central role in strengthening security in Europe. This is particularly exciting in the M&A environment: by working on several projects and taking on responsibility at an early stage, you experience this development up close and actively shape it.
