What are your daily tasks?

We are responsible for the central warehouse and internal transport to supply production at the site. We receive goods for manufacturing, store them, and then process orders for production. These orders are scheduled so that goods and materials are available at the production line on time.

What makes your day-to-day work particularly exciting, so you enjoy coming to work?

It’s my colleagues, as well as the very diverse workdays, that keep my routine from ever becoming boring.

What sets your team apart?

My team is distinguished by a great mix of experienced and committed members across all age groups. The collaboration between long-term employees and young talents works particularly well. They engage with each other and share experiences to move forward together.

Material Manager

Please briefly introduce yourself and your career path.

I have been with the company for eight years. I started my training as an industrial clerk at Rheinmetall. During my apprenticeship, I had the opportunity to work in various departments, including Human Resources, Sales, and Purchasing. In the final year of my apprenticeship, I specialized in the Materials Management department, where I was taken on after completing my training.

What are your daily tasks?

My tasks in materials management are very varied. Among other things, I manage a portfolio of assigned suppliers and work closely with Purchasing and Logistics. In addition to supplier coordination, I monitor the parts shortage situation for projects. I am also responsible for pro-forma invoices and small parts inventory for production.

What advice would you give young women regarding their career planning?

It’s important to speak up and stand up for your opinions. Many new tasks can be overwhelming at first, but I can assure any woman that you grow into your responsibilities and develop positive self-confidence over time.
