WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Machine Setting
- Install and setup required tooling in machine as per setup sheet
- Install and check correct CNC program is installed as per setup sheet and drawing
- Run 1st off with Production and confirm sizes as per procedure
- Handover machine
- Check accuracy and malfunctions
Process Documentation
- Ensure EWO traceability Sheet completed
- All documents are to latest level
- Update relevant sheets and ensure updates are completed
- Record all activities on relevant documentation
Tooling
- Issue tooling to production as required
- Record issue of tools as per procedure
- Issue damaged tool replacements as per procedure
Troubleshooting of machining defects
- Assist production with machining defects in respect to program and tooling
- Determine root cause of issues and correct
Tooling, trail and Reworks machining
- Assist in machining tooling
- Assist in machining trail / development components
- Assist in reworking of defective components
Process Improvements
- Implement improvement ideas in pre-setting process
- Improve machining methods and cycle times
- Run tooling trails
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- Recognized trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner, Toolmaker, or Machinist.
- At least 3 years CNC machine operation and setting in the engineering environment.
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and achieve targets
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to demonstrate judgement and initiative.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at all levels.
- Analytical thinker with good reasoning skills.
- Ability to work precisely and methodically with minimum supervision
