About the Team

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute General Manager – Weapons & Ammunition to lead and grow a critical portfolio within the Defence sector. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic growth and capability delivery across a complex and highly regulated product environment.

About the Role

Forming a key part of our executive leadership team, you will have full accountability for the performance of the Weapons & Ammunition business unit. You will oversee end-to-end operations including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, compliance and customer engagement. Ensuring delivery of high quality, mission critical products to Defence clients.

You are an experienced senior  and strategic leader with a strong background in Defence, advanced Manufacturing, or a related Heavy Industry. You bring a balance of tactical thinking and hands-on operational leadership to a highly complex capability.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes: 

  • Significant senior leadership experience operating within a $300M AUD (or larger) business, with accountability for performance and growth;
  • Background in Weapons, Ammunition, Defence systems, or highly regulated manufacturing environments;
  • Strong commercial acumen with cost and budget responsibility;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex teams and programs;
  • Deep understanding of safety, compliance and quality systems;
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, particularly within Defence or Government sectors;
  • Demonstrated technical and professional capabilities in engineering, business and/or other related fields; and
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance – NV1 (Australian Citizenship required).
