For the establishment of our new site in Iganovo, we are seeking an experienced Head of HR (m/f/d) to build and lead the HR function from the ground up.
This is a true greenfield opportunity. During the initial phase, you will operate as a standalone HR leader, setting up all HR structures, processes, and compliance frameworks. As the organization grows, you will build and lead the local HR team and increasingly focusing on strategic HR leadership and organizational development.

 

  • Establish and implement all HR processes for the new legal entity in Iganovo
  • Draft internal regulations, employment documentation, and HR policies in line with Bulgarian legislation and Rheinmetall standards
  • Develop and execute the recruitment strategy for the site ramp-up
  • Lead strategic workforce planning in close coordination with management
  • Manage labour-related matters, including drafting and maintaining employment contracts, amendments, job descriptions, and other HR documentation
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Support the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors and other HR-related tools
  • Define and implement the compensation structure and benefits framework
  • Build and develop the local HR team as headcount increases
  • Act as a trusted partner to local and international management
  • Participate in cross-functional HR projects
  • Report to the CEO / Business Unit CHRO
  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of Bulgarian labour law and employment practices
  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to combine operational execution with strategic thinking
  • Confident communication style and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent Bulgarian and good command of English (written and spoken), German is advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors is an advantage
  • Experience in greenfield, start-up, or scale-up environments is highly preferred
