Head of Operational Quality Assurance (m/f/d)

Rheinmetall Hungary Munitions Zrt., a member of the Rheinmetall Group, is looking for a Head of Operational Quality Assurance for its new factory in Várpalota.

 

  • Provide operational quality strategy and leadership
  • Develop and implement the QA strategy aligned with a corporate and defense regulation standards and in cooperation with the Quality Compliance & System Manager
  • Lead and mentor the operational QA team across production site, promoting a culture of quality
  • Establish measurable quality KPIs and report to the supervisor
  • Oversee all quality control and assurance activities (incoming inspection, in-process control, final testing, incl. lot acceptance tests as ammunition live firing events)
  • Ensure that all products meet product specification, safety requirements, and international defense standards (AQAP, ISO9001…)
  • Ensure calibration and validation of all measurement and testing equipments
  • Identify and mitigate production and quality risks
  • Drive innovation in inspection processes, data analytics and quality monitoring system
  • Strong collaboration with the Quality Compliance and System Management
  • Support internal, external and customer audits
  • BSc degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or related fields (MSc preferred)
  • Certified Quality Engineer or equivalent
  • Fluent English and Hungarian language skills, both in speaking and writing
  • Professional experience in quality assurance for at least 10 years
  • At least 3 years' experience in leading teams
  • Leadership and team development ability
  • Strong data-driven approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Excellent ability to communicate with internal teams, clients and authorities
  • Calm, systematic, and decisive personality and the ability to work under high-pressure conditions
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • ERP knowledge (SAP if possible)
