You will be supported by a larger team of mechanical engineering specialists in the areas of drawing, modifying existing systems, engineering and standardisation in Siemens NX. The best thing about your work is that you will come into contact with a wide range of technologies and systems. In addition, there is also versatility in the types of projects, including new construction, modifications and innovations. You enjoy project-based and structured work and are accustomed to working with a Product Life Cycle Management system.
- Analysing the contract requirements/specifications relating to the relevant (sub)system
- Drawing up technical specifications for systems and components/parts, taking into account components/parts specified by the government (Government Furnished Equipment GFE)
- Determining the design and creating (interface) drawings, calculations and simulations using software programmes
- Drawing up test protocols, assisting with prototype construction, production and trials at customer locations. Based on test results, making any necessary adjustments/changes to the design, in collaboration with Configuration Management
- Drawing up design documents and providing technical instructions for the manuals to be supplied by the ILS department
- Ensuring product definition documents and verification documents that provide evidence that the product meets customer requirements/contract specifications (compliance)
- Identifying technological developments and advising the Engineering Manager and Engineering Team Lead on these
- A technical higher professional education (vehicle technology/aviation technology, mechanical engineering, machine construction)
- Several years of experience in mechanical engineering
- Knowledge of vehicle technology is an advantage
- Confident usage of MS Office, CAD and PDM programmes
- Dutch and English, both written and spoken
