Mission of the Satellite Planning Engineer:
- Interface management & detailed planning
Establish and coordinate collaboration between Production, AIT Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Procurement, and joint venture partners to ensure efficient production processes
- Schedule management & deviation control
Identify bottlenecks, prioritize mitigation actions, and actively support escalation processes towards Mission and Program Management
- Production planning & scheduling
Develop and continuously improve production planning considering capacity, material availability, mission schedules, and test slots
- Operational manufacturing control
Establish and manage transparent work-in-progress and initiate capacity adjustments in ongoing production operations
- ERP/MES key user role
Actively contribute to the implementation and design of SAP S/4HANA and MES systems and their integration into production control processes
- Operational production management
Drive day-to-day planning and scheduling activities and gradually stabilize production processes
Outcomes (12-18 months) of the role:
- Establish stable and scalable production planning processes
- Ensure high on-time delivery performance during production ramp-up
- Achieve strong schedule adherence despite increasing production complexity
- Successful implementation and effective use of ERP and MES processes
- Transparent and reliable alignment between Production, Program Management, and joint venture partners
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing control, or operations, ideally in a dynamic or growing production environment
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA) and interest in MES implementation and further development
- Strong stakeholder management skills, especially in building new interfaces and collaborations
- High level of analytical thinking and a structured working approach
- Strong assertiveness in a developing environment with partially unclear structures
- Hands-on mentality and enthusiasm for actively shaping processes
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and German
