WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Responsible for Supervising and coordinating workers' activities in all phases of plant operations to meet volume, machine availability, quality and cost goals.
- Conduct daily production meeting and report production against Planned Production Schedule.
- Identify risk and implement mitigation actions.
- Ensure production Key performance indicators are met, this includes Productivity, Efficiency, Quality, Plan attainment, Work in progress (WIP) and manage attendance.
- Prepare and manage production schedules as communicated, this includes all resources; material, components, facilities, Labor and equipment.
- Control and monitor direct cost of manufacturing such as consumables, oils and PPE
- Communicate, monitor and ensure compliance on plant safety and inspections.
- Provide training product manufacturing procedures, quality and SHEQ system, standards and procedures.
- Ensure continuous improvement to reduce machine downtime, cost and quality.
- Resolve plant downtime through risk assessment and task prioritization with the Process engineering and Maintenance section.
- Facilitate Root Cause Analysis to resolve bottleneck in the processes by liaising with cross-functional team.
- Accountable for IR/HR related problems, which cannot be resolved at supervisor level.
- Ensure that performance contracting (KPI) is maintained as per HR procedures and deadlines.
- Maintain discipline and comply with company policies, practices and procedures.
- Support company vision and value system and ensure alignment throughout the team.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- Matric Certificate or equivalent.
- National Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering) or Operations Management or any relevant equivalent Tertiary Qualification would be advantageous.
- Must have a Minimum of 5 Years in the field of Production / Manufacturing of which 3 years should have been in a supervisory role.
- Experience in CNC machining
- Knowledge of SAP or ERP system
- Proficient computer skills –MS Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a decision maker.
- Must be prepared to work irregular hours.
- Good interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate with minimum supervision
- Driven, confident, self-motivated and results orientated.
