WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Ensuring that sufficient stock/raw material is available for plants to run continuously
- Execution of production plan as per MPS
- Ensure that all relevant Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and Explosive regulatory requirements, systems or standards are adhered to
- Manage all process and equipment changes via the applicable modification procedures
- Ensure that products are manufactured as per the relevant Product Manufacturing Instruction (PMI) and Quality Control Plan
- Ensure that all employees are trained on the relevant safety, quality and operational documentation pertaining to their jobs, including but not limited to FOI’s, PMI’s, Control Plans, HIRA’s, Permits, etc.
- Responsible for driving continuous improvements within their facilities/areas
- Utilize the company’s ERP/MES systems to monitor, record and control plant performance
- Responsible for the issuing of work permits, maintenance notifications, exit permits, purchase requisitions, etc.
- Responsible for filing and record keeping of Quality and SHE documentation (COA’s, appointment letters etc.)
- Accountable for the correctness of log sheets on his/her shift
- Ensure that all employees are always equipped with appropriate PPE
- Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- National Senior Certificate or NQF 4 equivalent qualification.
- NQF 6 in Explosives Management or studying towards the qualification would be advantageous.
- At least 5 years’ experience in high-volume manufacturing environment of which some of the years should have been in a Supervisory role.
- Must be able to lead by example and enforce the necessary discipline when required.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with other support departments.
- Computer literate, MS Office, ERP and MES systems.
- Demonstrate good judgement and display initiative.
- Must be able to work shifts and overtime on short notice.
- Must be able to work ROTA shift when production plan requires it.
