Rheinmetall Electronics UK are pleased to be exhibiting their range of high-performance sensor products at DSEI from 9th – 12th September on booth S9- 110. Rheinmetall Electronics UK’s range of vision systems for armoured vehicles and wide-area surveillance are designed and manufactured in the UK, to deliver cutting-edge vision and detection systems to armed forces world-wide.

Trailblazer Vehicle Vision System delivers platform vision capability, safety and security to users across all operating environments. Through enhanced platform situation awareness, Trailblazer improves driver and crew effectiveness by extending the field of view beyond the daylight spectrum, offering enhanced thermal and daylight-thermal fusion vision even in adverse weather, obscuration and low-light conditions. With high-reliability features, compliant with safety integrity levels, enhanced tactical ability and threat detection, Trailblazer is easy to integrate and GVA compatible. Trailblazer is integrated across a range of NATO and other vehicle operators with a rapidly expanding customer base.

Skyblazer, Rheinmetall Electronics UK’s passive drone and short-range air threat surveillance and detection system, delivers automated object tracking and identification in thermal and daylight spectrum. The system is available as a modular, non-rotating sensor system and users can optimise the field of detection through Areas of Interest. The solution supports a wide range of applications including land mounted and dismounted, sea and unmanned. Critically, Skyblazer offers the excellent probability of intercept due to the staring, non-rotating array. High-performance sensors and processing combine to enable high DRI (Detection, Recognition and Identification) ranges. The non-rotating aspects deliver high reliability, no audible emissions and reduced power consumption, enabling continuous and covert use 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Advanced Combat Environment – Augmented Reality (ACE-AR) is a next-generation head-mounted display technology, ruggedised and designed for military operators. ACE-AR delivers 360-degree situational awareness and vision of multiple displays in confined, space-limited environments where display access may be limited. Designed with the user in mind, it features a high-resolution dual-eye display and best-in-class eye relief, removing eye fatigue and nausea caused by other solutions. Offering an augmented reality environment, ACE-AR allows for normal operating procedures via direct view of critical functional safety equipment and displays, augmenting additional display information into user’s peripheral vision. With ultra-low latency and lightweight design, and available in high definition and natural 3D rendering multi-focal plane options, ACE-AR demonstrates cognitive response speed advantage of up to 40%. The headset is currently optimised for safe platform vision use-cases, and is compatible with Rheinmetall Electronics UK’s Trailblazer driver vision system. At DSEI 2025, it will be displayed integrated with Rheinmetall’s Skymaster Air Defence C2 system, alongside Lynx Skyranger. The system has broad utility across Land, Air and Maritime applications.
