A proven partnership in top-class sport is entering extra time. The long-established Düsseldorf-based company Rheinmetall and the Düsseldorf Eislauf-Gemeinschaft (DEG) have agreed to continue their premium partnership for another season until April 2026.

Since the 2024/2025 season, Rheinmetall has been visible as a premium sponsor both on the boards and on various areas under the ice at Düsseldorf's PSD BANK DOME.

Joint activities are once again planned as part of the ongoing partnership. Rheinmetall and DEG continue to pursue match day sponsorships and projects in social and community areas.

About DEG

Founded in 1935, Düsseldorfer EG is one of the most popular ice hockey clubs in Germany and a flagship of Düsseldorf sports. In its eventful history spanning almost 90 years, the ‘Red and Yellows’ have won numerous titles, including the German championships in 1967, 1972, 1975, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1996, as well as the cup victory in 2006. After many decades at the ice rink on Brehmstraße, DEG has been playing its home games at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf-Rath since 2006. The Düsseldorf stadium on Brehmstraße was the third ice rink in Germany after Berlin and Munich and the eighth ice sports venue in Europe. At that time, the stadium had a capacity of 8,000 spectators.
