With the Caracal, Rheinmetall presents a highly mobile 4x4 platform that is precisely tailored to the extreme demands of airborne and special forces. The vehicle combines maximum tactical mobility, a low profile, and scalable protection with outstanding mission-specific flexibility. The airborne platform can be configured for a wide variety of operational roles: The spectrum ranges from the classic troop carrier to specialized command variants and heavily armed combat vehicles equipped with mounted weapon stations or anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs). With a payload of up to 1,200 kilograms and a universal rail system, the Caracal is optimally adaptable for rapid deployment operations as well as reconnaissance and combat missions. 

With the Caracal cUAS (Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems) variant, Rheinmetall is expanding its portfolio with a powerful component for the mobile defense against airborne threats. Equipped with the RCWS 100 remote-controlled weapon station and state-of-the-art electro-optical sensors, the system detects and engages nano- and micro-drones day and night. For early reconnaissance, the platform can be optionally equipped with an AESA radar that reliably detects micro-drones at distances of over 700 meters. Thanks to a fully digitalized system architecture based on the NATO NGVA (NATO Ground Vehicle Architecture) standard, the Caracal can be seamlessly integrated into modern command and operational networks. The complete system is thus ideally suited for protecting mobile units, securing critical infrastructure, and escorting convoys in the field.
