The SCM 300 brings the battlefield into the vehicle in real time, providing maximum visibility, enabling faster decision-making and offering greater protection for the crew.

SCM 300

360° situational awarness

Limited visibility can become an operational hazard.

Armoured vehicle crews operate in highly dynamic combat environments where threats can change in an instant. Simultaneous events, enemy deception and camouflage measures, as well as complex terrain, make identifying friend or foe difficult. Delays in displaying sensor data and limited all-round visibility lead to information gaps in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle. Weather, dust, darkness and urban structures further restrict traditional visibility methods. Commanders must make decisions under time pressure, often with an incomplete picture of the situation. The result is information overload combined with a lack of overview. An unclear picture of the situation increases the risk of making the wrong decisions, which endangers the mission, crew and platform.

SCM 300 – 360° situational awareness under protection

The SCM 300 brings battlefield awareness back into the protected vehicle interior, creating a comprehensive 360° situational awareness solution for armoured platforms. Six high-resolution day and thermal imaging cameras provide a seamless, real-time panoramic view, both day and night and in challenging environmental conditions. Powerful image fusion and AI-supported functions enable precise environmental identification and support the early detection of relevant objects, including UAVs. The GMCU integrates sensor information and displays it to the crew in a situation-dependent, intuitive and prioritised manner in 4K quality. Mixed and augmented reality overlays enable perception of critical areas without leaving the protection of the vehicle. This robust system is designed for use on both tracked and wheeled vehicles, and can be expanded to form a comprehensive situational awareness system with additional sensors. As part of the 'last line of defence', the SCM 300 significantly increases response speed, safety and operational effectiveness.

  • Day and night vision with image fusion for a combined view from daylight and thermal imaging sensors.
  • 4K real-time streams: high-resolution display for precise situation assessment
  • Seamless image stitching provides a low-distortion panorama for maximum overview.
  • Region of Interest (ROI): display relevant areas in a large, prioritised format.
  • Sector marking in panorama – quick orientation in the vehicle environment

AI & perception functions

  • Drone and object detection (AI-ready): expandable for mission-specific use cases
  • Multi Mission Tracker (MMT): simultaneous tracking of multiple targets
  • Physically Based Red Hot: physics-based IR highlighting of temperature-relevant hotspots
  • Local Tone Mapping & CLAHE (HDR): significantly increased contrast and level of detail for better object segmentation.

System and integration

  • Modular and expandable: can be combined with radar, EO/IR and other sensors to form a fully-fledged SAS.
  • Robust for tracked and wheeled vehicles – deployable in harsh environments
  • A new generation of proven technology: the predecessor system has been deployed over 10,000 times.
  • Mixed/augmented reality ready: context-sensitive overlays are displayed directly in the field of view.
  • Platform protection: 'last line of defence' – immediate threat detection at close range

Situational awareness is crucial for reaction time, safety and mission success in combat. The 360° surround view system provides the crew with a comprehensive and unobstructed view of their surroundings, day or night and in all weather conditions. Fusing daylight and thermal imaging sensors creates a consistent, high-resolution picture of the situation in real time. AI-supported detection and classification identify potential threats, such as vehicles or UAVs, at an early stage and prioritise relevant events. The display inside the protected vehicle reduces cognitive load and improves decision quality. Depending on the situation, critical information is displayed so that the focus remains on the relevant sectors.

The result is maximum overview with minimal delay, even in highly dynamic operational scenarios.

Platform protection begins with the early detection of threats and a closed sensor-to-effector chain. The system combines 360° perception with AI-supported target recognition, forwarding relevant information to the effectors in real time. Threats such as UAVs or loitering munitions can be detected, classified and countered within seconds. The passive sensor architecture reduces the electromagnetic signature, thereby increasing the platform's survivability. Thanks to its modular, vehicle-independent design, the solution can be seamlessly integrated into existing command and weapon systems. Low latencies minimise response times and close critical decision gaps. This makes the 'last line of defence' an effective protective layer for the vehicle and its crew.
