EMC test centres
Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH
Kassel
The EMC test centre Kassel has a semi-absorber hall measuring 14m x 14m x 8m (L x W x H) with an entrance gate measuring 5m x 5m. It is possible to measure interference emission (up to 18 GHz) and interference immunity (up to 18 GHz) in accordance with various military and civilian standards at both component and vehicle level (including VG, MIL-STD and DEF-STAN). The focus is on series and extended series tests prior to vehicle delivery and personal protection with regard to electromagnetic fields (EMF).
Unterlüß
The EMC test centre Unterlüß is equipped with a large shielded semi-absorber hall (22m x 22m x 11.5m, entrance gate 5m x 5m) and a small shielded full-absorber chamber (10m x 7m x 6m, entrance gate 2m x 2m). In addition to the (extended) series tests, initial sample tests can be carried out on vehicles, i.e. before they are ready for series production. Measurements up to a frequency of 18 GHz are possible here - both in the area of interference emission and interference immunity. In addition, RLS Unterlüß is accredited by the DAkkS for various civilian test procedures in accordance with DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2018. This means that EMC tests can be carried out in accordance with DIN EN 13766 (construction machinery), DIN EN ISO 14982 (agricultural machinery) and DIN EN 12985 (industrial trucks), for example. Measurements within the scope of UN ECE R10 (type testing of motor vehicles) are possible with restrictions during driving and can be used for KBA approvals with a certificate from a technical service.
- Create test instructions according to specification and coordinate with the customer
- Exam preparation:
- Measurement setup according to standards
- Software for recording the measurement data
- Measurement of conducted and field-bound interference emission and interference immunity
- Personal protection assessment EMF (electromagnetic fields)
- Vehicle testing for the purpose of road authorisation (accompanied by an aaS)
- Active standardisation activities in the VG committees "EMC measurement methods/limit values" and "Nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NEMP)/lightning"
- Lightning protection assessment of vehicles
