Containerized Missile Launcher
Mobility, modularity and efficiency in an integrated system solution
Rheinmetall’s containerised missile launcher system combines exceptional operational flexibility with the integration of state-of-the-art missile systems – all within a standardised 20-foot container. The modular design enables rapid and versatile deployment on land, at sea and, in particular, for air defence applications, and can be seamlessly integrated into existing logistical structures.
The aim is to develop a modular Containerised Missile Launcher (CML) platform that serves as a universal basis for different operational requirements. Thanks to its adaptable architecture, the platform supports the integration of various systems and technologies and creates the conditions for a solution that can be expanded in the long term.
One platform.
A wide range of applications.
Future-proof integration.
Background
The rapid development of modern effectors is fundamentally changing the requirements for military mission systems. A growing range of drones, loitering munitions and cruise missiles demands flexible carrier solutions, whilst available platforms are often only partially suited to these new operational scenarios. The challenge lies in ensuring operational capability, adaptability and future-proofing in equal measure.
Solution
The Containerised Missile Launcher (CML) platform provides a flexible and modular basis for the deployment of various munitions. Designed to be cost-effective and self-sufficient from the outset, the platform features a flexible launch system capable of ejecting munitions both vertically and at any angle. This makes the system suitable for integration with missiles, drones and loitering munitions, and offers a high degree of adaptability to meet a variety of requirements.
