The Sustainable Development Goals were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda. They serve as voluntary guidelines for government, business, and society. They arose from the recognition that sustainable development can only be achieved if everyone does their part.

Rheinmetall has identified the following SDGs as priorities for its business model. The statements below refer to selected activities and key performance indicators. Specific key performance indicators, methodology, and progress are documented in the 2025 Annual Report at the locations indicated.

3 | Good Health and Well-being
Rheinmetall's workplace health management program promotes the health of the workforce. A wide range of initiatives are designed to enhance the productivity, job satisfaction, and physical and mental well-being of all employees.

Rheinmetall promotes high-quality education through comprehensive training programs and initiatives for students, with the aim of sparking an early interest in technical careers. The Rheinmetall Academy supports the training and professional development of all employees through in-person and remote seminars.

8 | Decent Work and Economic Growth
Rheinmetall is experiencing a period of growth and is regarded as an attractive employer. Respect for and protection of human rights are of central importance and are regularly reviewed through risk analyses.

9 | Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
Rheinmetall invests in innovative solutions through research and development. State-of-the-art manufacturing facilities also contribute to the infrastructure by generating their own energy.

12 | Responsible Consumption and Production
Rheinmetall relies on invests in robust and resilient supply chains, which includes a risk-conscious approach to raw materials. In addition to production, product maintenance and repair also play a role. Many of the products have a very long service life.

13 | Climate Action
Rheinmetall is doing its part to help decarbonize Europe. To this end, the company is continuously reducing CO2 emissions, investing in renewable energy, and monitoring progress.

15 | Life on Land
At certain locations, Rheinmetall actively contributes to the protection of nature and endangered species. In Unterlüss, about one-third of the testing grounds are designated as a nature reserve. In South Africa, nature and species conservation efforts are carried out across more than 5,000 hectares of land.

16 | Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
Rheinmetall’s products enable the German Armed Forces and NATO partners to maintain deterrence and thus protect their countries, populations, and freedom. Without the ability to defend themselves, peace is not possible.
