This is what awaits you:
Katharina Müller - Team Lead Human Resource development
Our motto is "Find, Develop and Connect"! We also apply this standard to our Rheinmetall Graduate Program. We set great value on an excellent "person-job fit". It is important to us that the skills and needs of our trainees match the challenges and tasks of the division. In addition, we look for people who enrich our corporate culture and at the same time feel happy with us.
Appreciation and a trusting relationship are a self-evident fact for us when it comes to boosting individual strengths. During the program, the trainees pass through three to four departments of their choice. They are accompanied by a mentor. In addition to the technical stations, which can also be completed at the various locations of the division, we offer a support program tailored to personal needs. The focus is on method training and the targeted development of soft skills.
The agile design of the program enables the active formation of networks within the entire organisation and creates a perfect starting point for a successful career start. In short, what I like most about the program is the high degree of creative freedom and the constant exchange at the same time.
The trainees have the opportunity to get a taste of a wide variety of topics and projects. The product development process can be just as exciting as the production and marketing of the end products as well as the continuous monitoring of supporting business processes. For example, this includes accompanying M&A activities or participating in divisional, international large-scale projects.
In addition, depending on their individual interests, trainees have the opportunity to expand their intercultural skills at our locations abroad.
Open and innovative - the Weapon and Ammunition Division offers a constantly evolving environment with a broad product portfolio ranging from different types of weapons and their ammunition to civilian chemistry as well as various protective elements and, most recently, shelter solutions.
With around 40 locations in more than 10 countries, the Division is an ideal environment to interact with open-minded people from different cultures. We enable our employees to contribute their own ideas and take on responsibility early on in their careers.
Our trainees are characterised by a high degree of personal responsibility, interest and willingness to learn. In a changing and growing market environment, we need employees who are flexible, proactive and act on their own initiative to meet the demanding requirements of our customers and the organisation.
I am particularly proud of the fact that we were able to offer all trainees who were able to convince us with their performance a follow-up job. This shows that we have been able to win the right employees for us and have successfully supported them in their career entry. The personal development of the trainees is particularly close to my heart. It is great to be able to experience this so closely and to share my experiences with them.
In the past, I have experienced great appreciation of the program from both top management and business, and especially from the participants. I hope that the program will be as successful this year as it has been in the past and that we will continue to write the success story of the "Rheinmetall Graduate Program". I expect our commitment to produce many motivated and ambitious employees who will shape the future of the Weapon and Ammunition Division together with us.
