We are committed to providing an inclusive work environment where each employee is treated fairly and respectfully. Diversity is critical to our ability to work successfully as a team regardless of borders, language or culture. Our workforce includes employees of varying gender, age, race and ethnicity, professional and cultural backgrounds.
Our workforce has become considerably more diverse. It reflects a broad spectrum of cultures, social backgrounds and a wide range of skills and talents. The area of diversity will continue to be strengthened as we seek to grow our workforce further.
Endorsed Employer for Women
Rheinmetall Defence Australia is an endorsed Work180 Employer for All Women. With our industry being predominately male, we have partnered with Work180 to ensure we continue to attract, support and engage females within, but also looking to join, our growing organisation. This also means we can continue to develop and roll out contemporary initiatives and policies, including work-life blends for everyone.

Diversity & Inclusion Committee
Rheinmetall’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee is an employee led initiative of collective minds that bring our D&I strategy, policies, processes, initiatives and commitment to life! Commencing in early 2021, the committee strives to accelerate our proposition across all elements of D&I. While we are still on a journey of discovery and an exciting path in launching most of these initiatives, our passionate and dedicated colleagues foster a culture of inclusion and respect, empowering our people to bring their whole selves to work each and every day. We have team members that actively and safely contribute with their stories, their life experiences and we embrace a culture that is accepting of all. We are a melting pot of different nationalities, backgrounds and orientation.
Some of the initiatives our committee are currently working on are:
- Our Reconciliation Action Plan
- LGBTIQ+ community and allies network
- Women in Leadership (WGEA)
- Hearts of Purple Partnership; helping victims of domestic violence
- Women@Rheinmetall
- Veterans Engagement
- Accessibility and Inclusion
While our locations are accessibility friendly, Rheinmetall is committed to increasing awareness and fostering inclusion for people with disabilities. We do this by engaging employees with disability and allies of people with disability to act as champions of change and actively contribute through the committee. We ensure our recruitment process allows for any reasonable adjustment, to ensure we provide equal opportunity for everyone.
