Rheinmetall AG is the parent company of the Rheinmetall Group, which has a decentralised structure with its operating sectors of Rheinmetall Defence and Rheinmetall Automotive. In 2015, its 23,000-strong staff generated annual sales of €5,183 billion.

Rheinmetall Automotive AG, the former KSPG AG, is the parent company of Rheinmetall’s Automotive sector. As a global first-tier supplier to the automotive industry, Rheinmetall Automotive thanks to its vast capabilities commands foremost positions in the product and component segments air supply, emission control and pumps as well as in the development, manufacture and aftermarket supply of pistons, engine blocks, and plain bearings.
Product engineering and development are conducted in close liaison with the leading car assemblers. Low emissions, reduced fuel consumption, upgraded performance, reliability, quality, and safety - these are forces that drive innovation at Rheinmetall Automotive.
In line with its strategic focus, the Group has three premium brands: Kolbenschmidt, Pierburg und Motorservice and employs a workface of around 12,000 employees at its production locations in Europe, North and South America, Japan, India plus China.

Rheinmetall Defence stands for many years of experience and innovation in armored vehicles, weapons and ammunition and in the areas of air defense and electronics – including for the requirements of the navy and air force and for internal security. Whether it is for requirements specific to different branches of the armed forces or overall requirements, whether it is for external or internal security, the sector has a wide product portfolio of platforms and components, which are offered as individual and networked system solutions. This makes Rheinmetall Defence a strong and reliable partner to the German armed forces, their allies and friendly armies, along with civil national security forces.
