Mr Moog is not a member of any other statutory Supervisory Boards or comparable control committees of commercial enterprises in Germany or abroad


Detlef Moog studied electrical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf from 1968 to 1971 and economics at Ruhr University Bochum from 1973 to 1979.

After two years as a planning engineer at Ruhrgas AG in Essen from 1971 to 1973, Detlef Moog joined the Rheinmetall Group in 1980 and worked in various roles in weapons and munitions. In 1995, he took over the Weapon and Munitions Division. In 1997, he was appointed chairman of the board of what was W & M GmbH at the time as well as Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of Rheinmetall Industrie AG. In 1998, he was appointed a full member of the company's Executive Board and later to the Executive Board of Rheinmetall DeTec AG, its successor. During the merger between Rheinmetall DeTec AG and Rheinmetall AG, Detlef Moog was appointed a member of the Defence sector Executive Board at Rheinmetall AG in 2005. Most recently, he was the person on this board responsible for vehicle systems, weapons and munitions, and transmissions until he left the Rheinmetall Group in late December 2009 and retired.
