WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
American Rheinmetall Systems (ARS) is seeking an experienced, team oriented professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills to lead ARS’ ongoing and new programs. The Program Manager is the critical link between Engineering and Business Development in ARS’ Strategic Plan. The Program Manager will regularly interface with customers and internal resources to market ARS's products and capabilities.
Build and refine comprehensive Program Management processes to facilitate ARS’ growing portfolio of programs, projects, and contracts
Manage programs to ensure cost and delivery expectations of the customer are met and secure additional work via ongoing programs
Ensure strong past performance evaluations from customers and that they are accurate and properly reflect program Performance
Match market opportunities with existing and future product roadmaps and technological capabilities
Provide input to Engineering’s Product Line Management based on market analysis and customer Input
Support business development with the launch of new products once development is finalized and a design/product is finalized
Coordinate appropriate internal / external / corporate resources to execute captures, bid and proposal activities, and proof of concepts
Conduct product and technology demonstrations for current and potential customers
Provide coordinating guidance to Project Managers for specific projects and efforts
Develop and recommend product positioning and pricing strategy
Monitor trends in the defense and law enforcement industries for sales and product development opportunities
Establish and maintain relationships with industry leaders and key strategic partners
Provide input to product research and development based on customer feedback
Interface with US Hub for strategic coordination of Rheinmetall resources in the US market
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree a plus
PMP certification beneficial
10+ years of experience in defense Program Management and/or Business Development
Adjacent experience in product development, product line management, and project management also considered
Inherent qualities that enable effective leadership of a cross-functional team without necessarily holding direct reporting authority for the team members
Experience in organizing and preparing winning proposals
Customer experience and relationships with existing contacts in relevant/comparable markets (Army, Marine Corps, Special Forces)
Knowledge of defense procurement practices and the DoD acquisition cycle including understanding of Certified Costing (CAS) and FAR/DFAR requirements for large and sole sourced USG contracts.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers, management, suppliers and other key stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and prioritize workload to meet performance Goals
Ability to manage customer relationships to achieve high satisfaction levels
Ability to travel 25% – 50% including short notice travel in the US and occasional travel abroad
