The BOXER 8x8 armoured vehicle has been developed in a joint co-operation programme between Germany and the Netherlands by the international consortium ARTEC GmbH in Munich, Germany. ARTEC is a joint-venture of Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co. KG, Rheinmetall Military Vehicles GmbH and Rheinmetall Defence Nederland B.V. ARTEC is the prime contractor responsible for the BOXER Programme, the co-ordination of series production and the focal point for export. Annual sales are normally between 200 and 300 million EUR and as of November 2019 more than 1,200 BOXER vehicles have been contracted.


  • Management and coordination of the contractual ILS requirements of one or more BOXER projects with a focus on a large scale project in the UK
  • Focus on logistical support analysis, technical documentation (IETP/AESP) and/or materials management
  • Interface function between ILS and other departments such as engineering and safety within ARTEC
  • Coordination and assignment of ILS tasks to major subcontractors within the consortium
  • Coordination of all ILS matters as well as contact point for ILS matters between industry and authorities
  • Implementation of QA activities for ILS services, e.g. technical documentation and supportability reports
  • Support of ILS working groups and customer information meetings for one or more projects
  • Creating and reporting ILS activities internally and to the customer


  • Studies in mechanical engineering, electronics or electrical engineering or comparable with the focus on logistics and/or RAMS
  • Experience in the application of ILS in connection with complex systems
  • Good analytical skills and a holistic approach to problem solving
  • Advanced knowledge of ASD standards with focus on S1000D and S2000M
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-1388 desired
  • Knowledge of design and development of armoured vehicles or defence-related products
  • Knowledge of British ILS standards such as AESP, DEFSTAN and DLF (JSP)
  • Professional oral and written communication skills in English – additional German language skills preferred
  • Very good knowledge of the common MS Office applications and ideally basic knowledge of MS Access and MS Project
  • Basic knowledge of database management and the principles of quality assurance
  • Ideally, you already have experience in working in an international team
  • Willingness to take occasional business trips
