WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Act as the leading authority for system survivability including physical protection (armour), active protection, signature management and CBRN
  • Responsibility for requirements analysis, creation of subsystem specifications and planning of tests against requirements
  • Specify and provide knowledge of materials (composites and metallic) and their application for protection
  • Manage interfaces with key subcontractors and internally within the design team
  • Lead interdisciplinary project teams
  • Ability to analyse, report, summarise and brief complex technical data both internally and externally to the organisation at all levels
  • Provide technical input to system level trades and balances to determine optimum design solutions

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Completed university degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on design/materials engineering or similar qualification
  • Minimum 10 years professional experience in engineering
  • Experience in the defence industry and military vehicled is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge in physical protection (armour), active protection, signature management and CBRN is desirable
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proficiency in English, both written and oral
