WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Management of employees in the design engineering department 
  • Built up the team, cost center responsibility 
  • Design and development of tracked and wheeled based military vehicles, mission kits, turrets. upgrade, modernization and obsolescence projects
  • Partial disciplines are structure design, hydraulic, powertrain, running gear, AirCon, protection, packaging engineering, automotive, simulation, etc.
  • Execution of design projects in tool, fixture and special machine construction including necessary calculations 
  • Project management (project and schedule planning, control of internal and external service providers) 
  • Further development and optimization of existing designs 
  • Close Cooperation with Engineering Teams in Germany (UK and Australia) and with other functional and specialist departments (Project, Purchasing, Quality, Production, etc.)
  • High level of understanding of the overall system
  • Close cooperation with engineering teams in foreign countries, especially in Germany

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Completed technical studies (e.g. mechanical engineering)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience as a design engineer or head of a design department in the field of special machines and/or toolmaking 
  • Good knowledge of control techniques: hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical 
  • Experience with CAD systems, experience with CAD – CAM
  • Excellent knowledge of English language 
  • MS Office, MS Project, SAP knowledge 
  • Willingness to travel (Germany) about 3-5 days within one month
  • Open mindset, team player, project, time schedule mentality
  • Background in Heavy Machines-, Automotive- or similar industry sectors would be beneficial
  • Profit-Center mentality
