WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

  • All welding procedure development throughout all divisions
  • Solving welding related issues and making process improvements
  • Provide support to quality colleagues on issues related to welding and welding inspection
  • Interface with customers on customer visits/audits
  • Presents technical reporting and writing weld procedure specifications, and standard work instructions
  • Monitor weld leaks and visual defects
  • Manage and work with multiple quality development supervisors who are in charge of training incoming welders
  • Work with robot technicians to solve robot welding issues and develop new robotic welding processes
  • Troubleshoot welding problems related to the welding equipment or welding process
  • Work with vendors on improving current welding equipment/supplies and experimenting with new technology as it becomes available

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering roles in a technical or manufacturing environment, welding engineering or similar metal product processing
  • Degree in Welding, Metallurgical, Materials Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Robot Programming knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize problems/projects
  • CAD experience
  • Be proficient in using Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access
  • Evaluate, apply and develop complex welding specifications
  • Research and development experience in welding processes
  • Good understanding of metallurgy principles
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new processes and materials
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent knowledge of English language
