• Perform system level analysis to specification of weapon system requirements for internal development team and subcontractors
  • Applied knowledge of weapon systems including but not limited to medium caliber guns, missile systems, remotely piloted weapon systems, fire control systems, propulsion systems and ordnance systems
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage analysis, error budgets and modeling techniques for weapon accuracy and PHit
  • Contribute to the development of weapon assembly systems, weapon control systems, ammunition delivery systems and ammunition stowage systems
  • Applied knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic integration of weapon systems into overall system design, including reversion modes and safety design
  • Develop specifications for interface requirements between weapon systems and other turret systems such as electrical and electronic architecture, sighting and sensor systems, turret propulsion systems and turret structure
  • Develop safety standards and requirements for the design, qualification and acceptance of safety critical weapon systems
  • Ability to develop test procedures and specifications for weapon systems, including specification, design and implementation of test stands
  • Perform comparisons and trade-offs to determine optimal weapon system design within subsystem boundaries
  • Work closely with other engineers and designers, including subject matter experts in FEA, operating environment, EMC, human factors, safety, environmental, and legislative issues


  • Successfully completed studies in the field of engineering
  • 10 years of experience with a range of weapon and sighting systems
  • Applied knowledge of planning, specifying, conducting and reporting weapon system tests at the component, subsystem and system levels for performance and safety
  • Applied knowledge of weapon systems, particularly medium caliber guns, missile systems, remotely controlled weapon systems, fire control systems, propulsion systems and ordnance systems
  • Experience leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical personnel
  • Willingness to travel intergovernmentally and internationally as required
  • Eligibility for a government security clearance and the ability to meet the requirements of the employment screening process
  • Fluent in both written and spoken German and English
