This role is working for Rheinmetall Communication and Simulation Technology Pte Ltd (RCST) in Singapore. RCST is a 100% owned affiliate business of Rheinmetall Integrate Electronics Systems (IES), based in Bremen Germany. IES is a designer, system integrator and manufacturer of complex simulation and training solutions for military customers worldwide. This role focusses on delivering simulation and training solutions in the SE Asia Region.

The Field Service Representative is responsible for the installation, integration, service and customer support for complex simulation and training systems and assemblies Installed on customer sites.

The job includes all measures for the preparation and liaison with the designer and manufacturer - this includes the preparation of parts lists as well as the planning of requirements and the scheduling and provision of material, machines/tools/jigs, subcontractors and qualified personnel. In addition, the role supports the creation of the installation, integration, and/or service specifications and plans.

  • Planning and control of installation, integration, commissioning and service project activities for simulation and training solutions being delivered to SE Asia region
  • Support to the In Service Support (ISS) manager in the preparation of ISS offers and contracts in coordination with the project manager
  • Responsibility for cost, quality and schedule compliance where delegated
  • Planning and control of subcontractors and partner companies supporting on site installation, integration and service
  • Creation and maintenance of drawings and system documents to support installation, integration and service activities
  • Support to the system development team in Bremen during the design phase and on site system acceptance testing activity
  • Planning and delivery of customer operational and maintenance training activity
  • Support to the ISS Manager for the concept development for integration, installation and commissioning and logistics support of future and existing projects
  • Support to the ISS manager for the creation of innovative maintenance and operational concepts worldwide for military and civilian customers
  • To be the main onsite representative for the company and able to deal effectively with customer concerns and issues
  • To take responsibility for own on site safety in accordance with regulations, procedures and any risk assessments
  • To liaise with customer project staff and dedicated on site company staff on all aspects of installation, integration and support for the project


  • State-certified technician or technical training with additional qualifications in the relevant field and several years of professional experience
  • Training as an electrician who is authorized to work under voltage in accordance with the laws in force in Singapore
  • Good experience in the field of service/integration, in a comparable industry
  • Experience in project work processes including planning, specifications, procedure and cost control
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware and basic software skills (e.g. Windows, Linux, Network Administration)
  • Good mechanical and electrical technical knowledge
  • Experience of software and hardware integration in complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience of supporting the delivery of customer maintenance and operator training
  • Business fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Demonstrable project and contract commercial and financial awareness
  • High intercultural awareness and competence and ability to work in an international business environment
  • Goal-oriented and independent way of working as well as assertiveness
