The Data Transfer Manager (DTM) is responsible for managing the data transfer of product-related objects in connection with the drawing sets and CAD data as well as documents under configuration control between the PDM/PLM systems of Rheinmetall and other companies in the home country and abroad.

The DTM is in charge of following tasks:

  • Conception and implementation of product-related and associated data flows between internal and externals parties and on both national and international levels
  • Perform Q- and compliance check (incl. IP rights, data classification and applicable regulations) of the data in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, especially with the sending or receiving organizations.
  • Initiate necessary import or export clearances with specialist departments and internal experts
  • Establish a filing system to ensure documentation and traceability of data streams as well as related authorizations.
  • Work closely with the engineering department and project teams to determine the relevant data transfer scope (data node in the BoM, assembly resolution,..) and timeline
  • Execute data transfer requests: Pack, unpack, decrypt, encrypt, down- and upload, save and archive data with approved IT tools as required.
  • Testing, approval and continuous improvement of data transfer processes and systems


  • Successfully completed training or a degree in the field of computer science, industrial engineering or mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
  • At least two years of professional experience in handling of engineering/ product data Work experience in an international environment
  • Experience with Teamcenter, SAP or other PLM/PDM Systems
  • Experience with databases, data export and data protection regulations
  • Very good knowledge of English (and Hungarian)
  • Good analytical skills and a precise way of working
