As a Development Engineer (m/f/d) in the domain of Electronic you will be developing and upgrading large and medium calibre turrets. You will gain insights into various Rheinmetall products.

  • System/subsystem level analysis and requirements breakdown
  • Specifications of subsystems with focus on electronic HW, SW/firmware, electrical architecture, harness & wiring systems
  • Management of the subsystem performance including architecture modelling, use cases, system task analysis and functional flow block diagrams
  • Specification of power consumption/white heat, cable cross sections, connector design and EMC for systems/subsystems, assemblies and components
  • Management of defined project milestones including preparation and presentation
  • Definition and development of verification and validation methods in close cooperation with the V&V Manager
  • Cross-functional exchange and development with subject matter experts in CAE, environmental requirements, EMC, human factors and safety (IEC 51608)
  • Planning, control and reporting of time, costs, quality and risk management


  • Degree/diploma in the technical/electrotechnical field
  • Profound professional experience in a comparable position (E/E, SW/FW, AI, Cyber)
  • Industry knowledge in the defence, aerospace, automotive, commmunications or naval industry
  • Strong knowledge of Doors, Enterprise Architect, PDM and MS Office
  • Analytical thinking, thinking ability out of the box and technical understanding
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English, knowledge of German desirable
