The safety engineer is responsible for the safety concept of mobile tank systems. He incorporates applicable laws and standards into product development, develops and optimizes fire protection systems and other safety-relevant components.

  • Development of high-pressure hydrogen tank systems for mobile applications
  • Development of safety concepts
  • Definition and coordination of requirements within the project team and with development partners
  • Dimensioning, calculation, simulation, validation, evaluation and specification of components
  • Testing of construction stages on component and system level
  • Complete product development including idea development, prototype design and industrialization of the same
  • Research of valid standards
  • Protection of ideas through patents
  • Benchmarking on the market
  • Identification, testing and evaluation of new approaches


  • Successfully completed master's degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or a comparable field of study
  • Several years of professional experience in a similar position in the relevant area of responsibility
  • Knowledge of high pressure and standardization
  • Sound experience and knowledge in project management
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
  • Goal-oriented, independent and systemic way of working as well as very good organizational skills
