The BOXER 8x8 vehicle armoured vehicle has been developed in a joint co-operation programme between Germany and the Netherlands by the international consortium ARTEC GmbH in Munich, Germany. ARTEC is a joint-venture of Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co. KG, Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH and Rheinmetall Defence Nederland B.V. It is the prime contractor responsible for the BOXER Programme, the co-ordination of series production and the focal point for export opportunities. Annual sales are normally between 300 and 400 million EUR and as of February 2021 more than 1,300 BOXER vehicles have been contracted.

  • Shares responsibility with the Programme Director UK MIV for day to day programme office operations management
  • Supports programme reporting and communications, including the preparation of programme reporting in collaboration with various programme functions and industry
  • Supports contract performance in accordance with ARTEC internal procedures and external regulations as applicable
  • Supports in the preparation for, execution of, and closure of follow-up actions from all internally and externally required phase/milestone reviews
  • Supports the progress of Government Furnished Equipment deliveries, tracking and monitoring across Industry
  • Ensures the correct planning, organisation and administration of programme reviews, milestone reviews, and other non-hardware deliverables in accordance with the contract
  • Supports the definition, planning and monitoring of the tasks required for achieving programme deliverables
  • Supports the provision of consolidated EVM reports taking data from Industry
  • Conducts monthly Risk and Opportunity reviews within ARTEC and also with Industry
  • Ensures the capture and application of lessons learned and best practice throughout the programme / programme organisation


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree preferably in commercial or technical domains
  • Professional experience in the described area
  • Defence industry experience advantageous
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Fluent German language a benefit
  • Strong skills in inter-functional communication and organisation
  • Willingness to travel (Domestic and UK)
  • Experience in defence programmes in particular in the UK, US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand beneficial
