ARTEC is a joint venture of Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co. KG, Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH and Rheinmetall Defence Nederland BV. The BOXER 8x8 armored vehicle was developed in a joint cooperation program between Germany and the Netherlands. ARTEC is the prime contractor for the BOXER program, responsible for coordinating series production and exports. Annual sales are typically between 300 and 400 million euros. By July 2021, more than 1,200 BOXER vehicles had been contracted.

  • Preparation, execution and completion of follow-up for meetings with prime contractors and customers in terms of product safety
  • Independent execution of safety analyses incl. creation and maintenance of FTAs, FMEA, FMEDA etc
  • Management of safety-related interfaces of different systems
  • Maintenance and use of systems engineering management tools
  • Conducting reviews of safety artifacts
  • Compliance with regulations as well as verification of compliance with all safety aspects and conformity with registration documents for the delivery of vehicles


  • Completed studies in the field of electronics or electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or comparable
  • Professional experience in the sought-after field of activity
  • Previous experience in homologation is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of relevant safety standards, e.g. Mil-Std 882E, Def-Stan 00-56, IEC 61508 or ISO 26262
  • Knowledge of Reliability Workbench and qualification databases (e.g. DOORS)
  • Very good English language skills
  • Good analytical skills and a holistic view of problem solving

ARTEC GmbH is a joint venture between Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) and Rheinmetall Defence.
