WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Maintain all infrastructure, equipment and services as per works request for maximum plant availability.
- Maintain all infrastructure and services as per job card, for maximum Plant availability.
- Perform planned and statutory maintenance.
- To perform breakdown maintenance.
- Perform production change overs.
- To inspect, service and assist in repair and overhaul of machinery.
- To perform planned preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement resolution without compromising safety.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as requested by line management
- Adhere to all applicable legislation within RDM.
- Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE /Quality /Environmental/Energy
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- National Senior Certificate or Equivalent qualification.
- NQF3 in Engineering would be advantageous.
- Red Seal Trade Certificate: Mechanical Fitter; Fitter & Turner; Millwright; Toolmaker.
- A minimum of least 3 to 5 years of experience post trade test as a maintenance artisan in a hazardous area. (Petrochemical or explosives manufacture)
- Willingness to work overtime & standby, as required by the business.
- Ability to work well in a team, independently & take ownership.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics & weld procedures.
- Valid Code 8 Drivers Licence
- Good mechanical insight in the repairs of chemical machinery (pumps, gearboxes, etc.)
- Be effective in communications and build relationships with superiors & subordinates
- Good problem-solving skills, and liaison skills
