Logistics Service Lead

Rheinmetall Electronics UK Ltd. in Warminster

Hiv. szám:  UK00799

Schedule type:  Full Time

Contract Type:  Permanent Full-Time

At OMNIA Training, we’ve brought together some of the UK’s most innovative defence training organisations into a single consortium to delivery one powerful mission: to transform the British Army’s training system and create the best-trained Army in the world.

OMNIA Training will redefine the British Army’s collective training, standing up as the Army’s Strategic Training Partner. To do that, we are looking for the best and brightest minds from across the UK. We are backed by British innovation and powered by world-class experts, like you.

OMNIA Training is primed by Raytheon UK, but all five partners (Raytheon, Rheinmetall, Capita, Skyral and Cervus) are key to delivering the scope of the contract.

Rheinmetall Electronics UK (REUK) is entrusted with the training delivery aspect of the contract meaning that you will be at the front and centre of British Army training.

This is more than a job — it’s a mission. You will be part of a high-impact, collaborative environment, where we expect everyone to live the values and standards of the British Army. Every person in our team plays a critical role in delivering OMNIA Training’s vision; designing, delivering, and transforming collective training so the British Army is ready to fight and win.

The Logistics Service Lead oversees a specialised department of up to 40 personnel, charged with providing, sustaining, and evolving high-tech training equipment to enable LVC military exercises in the UK and abroad. Central to this mission is the provision of training capabilities, including a modern TES (Tactical Engagement Simulation) capability which enables immersive and instrumented live training with data-driven feedback.

This leadership role ensures that training platforms—from weapon simulation kits to networked virtual interfaces—are delivered on time, maintained to operational standards, and integrated effectively into diverse exercise environments across national and coalition partners.

You will be responsible for strategic planning, process improvement, and team leadership—driving excellence in transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and maintenance/repair. This role demands a proactive leader with a passion for precision, problem-solving, and optimizing complex supply chains.

  • Familiarity with commercial and military logistics software (e.g., JAMES, MJDI, SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS, ServiceDesk).
  • Knowledge of global shipping regulations, customs processes, and warehouse management.
  • Excellent planning, stakeholder engagement, and resource management skills.
  • Eligible for and willing to obtain relevant security clearances.
  • Familiarity with Defence export protocols.

Desirable

  • Experience of coordinating across Defence organisations, international partners, and contractors.
  • Experience of supporting multinational or joint force exercises.
  • Familiarity with British Army training provision - live, virtual, and constructive.
  • Background in digital twin maintenance, data analytics, or IoT-based training assets.
  • Qualification in Defence logistics, engineering, or simulation technology.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

Personal Attributes

We are looking for individuals who want to serve. You’ll have a mission focus, and the enthusiasm and drive to ‘get things done’. You’ll want to work in collaboration with other defence training organisations, and the British Army. You won’t let bureaucracy get in the way of what needs to be done, you’ll learn lessons and share these lessons across the team.
