Analytical Chemist Intern

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:

• Supporting with conducting routine and non-routine analysis to support continuous production.
• Assist with basic laboratory administration and interaction with plant personnel.
• Adhere to quality and safety requirements.
• Good housekeeping and responsible waste management.
• Support with the calibration and verification of laboratory equipment.
• Capable of interpretation of data and sentencing.
• Liaise with suppliers when there is equipment breakdown.
• Assist in interpretation of results and writing of reports.
• Ensure all laboratories comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 17025.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Ensure all laboratories comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and ISO 17025.
• Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/ Quality/ Environmental/Energy.

• National Diploma in Chemistry or equivalent qualification.
• Must be deadline orientated and be able to multi – task.
• Good interpersonal skills and coordinating capability.
• Clear security screening record.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Excellent communication and organising skills.
