Quality Engineer Intern X2

• Assist with the development of quality system processes, program status indicators, performance measurements and reporting requirements.
• Assist with conducting internal audits according to ISO 9001:2015.
• Apply sound systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritising, communicating and resolving quality issues.
• Assist with compiling and updating PFMEAs, quality control plans and process qualifications.
• Assist with supplier complaints and qualifications.
• Collaborate in the reviewing of process inspection-data and prepare statistical and operational performance reports.
• Provide trending analysis on quality issues and performance metrics.
• Assist with the control of non-conforming items during development and series production.
• Support in product and process evaluations to identify areas for improvement and continuous improvement projects.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of engineering principles.
• Adhere to all applicable legislation within RDM.
• Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy.

POST REQUIREMENTS:

• BEng/BTech/BSc in Chemical Engineering or NQF 7 equivalent qualification.
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of experts.
• Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• A flexible analytical thinker with thoroughness and tenacity.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, show initiative and demonstrate good judgement.
• Fully computer literate (all MS Office packages).
