In our development department, we are offering you the opportunity to undertake a 6-month internship in the field of Artificial Intelligence. You will gain an insight into cutting-edge technologies, have the chance to work on projects and take on responsibility for specific areas. You will be introduced to a wide range of challenging tasks, thereby gaining practical experience of the day-to-day work of a development engineer.

Your tasks will include:

  • Collaborating on various AI projects in the field of air defence
  • Evaluating different approaches and integrating them into the system
  • Supporting the AI team
  • Expanding and optimising the existing Rheinmetall Air Defence deep learning pipeline for target detection and target classification
  • Assisting with the implementation of large language models
  • Master’s student (m/f/d) from ETH or a university of applied sciences (FH) in the fields of Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable subject, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence
  • Technical expertise in the chosen topic, openness to new technologies
  • Proficiency in the most common engineering tools and programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Linux, Python, Git, etc.)
  • Independent and structured approach to work, solution-oriented mindset, self-taught
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
