WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Advise, support and oversee projects in the area of compliance for all the South African Rheinmetall entities.
- Advise and support management, executives and employees on compliance-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with Group guidelines at local level (including on gifts and hospitality, conflicts of interest, data privacy, etc.).
- Oversee compliance policy governance, ensuring regular review, updates, communication, and implementation. Continuously develop and expand the compliance management system (in particular, creating and improve local guidelines and process specifications).
- Develop, organise and conducting compliance training courses for staff.
- Carry out third-party management audits (business partner audits).
- Prepare regular compliance reports for management and supervisors in the compliance organisation of the Rheinmetall Group.
- Strengthen compliance awareness across our South African companies through regular communication campaigns and updates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records and documentation.
- Conducting and leading internal investigations.
- Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munition’s Policies and Procedures
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- BCom / BA and LLB degree or equivalent qualification.
- Admitted Attorney.
- At least 2-3 years post qualification experience (“PQE”) in compliance.
- Relevant further training in compliance would be advantageous.
- Experience in the Financial, Security, Technology, Engineering or Defence industry would be advantageous.

- Ability to read, review and interpret manuals, policies, instructions, and legislation.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills for identifying compliance risks.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to demonstrate initiative and work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent administrative, planning and organising skills with attention to detail.
- Fully computer literate.
- Good interpersonal and social skills.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
