  • Advise, support and oversee projects in the area of compliance for all the South African Rheinmetall entities.
  • Advise and support management, executives and employees on compliance-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Group guidelines at local level (including on gifts and hospitality, conflicts of interest, data privacy, etc.).
  • Oversee compliance policy governance, ensuring regular review, updates, communication, and implementation. Continuously develop and expand the compliance management system (in particular, creating and improve local guidelines and process specifications).
  • Develop, organise and conducting compliance training courses for staff.
  • Carry out third-party management audits (business partner audits).
  • Prepare regular compliance reports for management and supervisors in the compliance organisation of the Rheinmetall Group.
  • Strengthen compliance awareness across our South African companies through regular communication campaigns and updates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records and documentation.
  • Conducting and leading internal investigations.
  • Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munition’s Policies and Procedures
  • BCom / BA and LLB degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Admitted Attorney.
  • At least 2-3 years post qualification experience (“PQE”) in compliance.
  • Relevant further training in compliance would be advantageous.
  • Experience in the Financial, Security, Technology, Engineering or Defence industry would be advantageous.

  • Ability to read, review and interpret manuals, policies, instructions, and legislation.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills for identifying compliance risks.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to demonstrate initiative and work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Excellent administrative, planning and organising skills with attention to detail.
  • Fully computer literate.
  • Good interpersonal and social skills.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
