WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Technical and disciplinary management of the Industrial Engineering Department.
- Responsibility for technical project management, scheduling, and risk management for the overall development and industrialization processes.
- Core member of the production-focused plant management team, contributing to strategic planning and the continuous improvement of operational processes.
- Advising and supporting production management with regard to technologies, production concepts, and product safety aspects.
- Execution and implementation of defined development and industrial engineering tasks within the planned time frame and budget.
- Close collaboration with international engineering teams, including direct cooperation with the engineering teams of the Business Units’ mother company in Germany as well as with divisional sister companies.
- Acting as the main engineering interface and representing the development team towards program management, sales departments, and international engineering partners (“One Face to the Customer”).
- Responsibility for engineering data transfer via PDM systems, ensuring proper documentation and data consistency across the organization.
- Responsibility for the engineering redlining process and technical change management within the product development and production environment.
- Conducting and following up on regular project and program audits, including reporting on quality performance and the definition and monitoring of relevant KPIs.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- Completed technical university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, preferably with a focus on production technology.
- Strong leadership skills and proven experience in leading and developing engineering teams, ideally in an international environment.
- Relevant professional experience in a comparable function, with at least 7 years of experience in the serial production of mechanical components.
- Experience in the optimization of technical production and development processes, including engineering change management and structured engineering workflows.
- Experience in the defense, automotive, aerospace, or aviation industries is considered an advantage.
- Team-oriented personality with the ability to collaborate effectively with international engineering teams and global production networks.
- Business fluent written and spoken English; German is an advantage.
- Very good understanding of engineering development processes, product safety requirements, and technical documentation management (e.g., PDM systems).
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
