WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define project objectives, deliverables, and scope in alignment with strategic and customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain appropriate project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues, and contribute to the development of risk response strategies
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality expectations.
- Facilitate effective communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, international customers, and executive management.
- Monitor project progress using designated planning and reporting tools. Track cost and schedule performance and initiate corrective actions as required.
- Ensure adherence to project governance, company policies, export control regulations, and product development procedures.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of project management processes, tools, and best practices.
- Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- B.Tech or B.Eng degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 year’s hands‑on experience in engineering or product development environments contributing to or coordinating activities within product development or engineering projects. Formal project management experience will be beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects, with exposure to export-controlled or regulated environments would be advantageous.
- Formal project management training (e.g., PMP®, PRINCE2®, IPMA, graduate or post-graduate courses in project management) would be advantageous.
- Strong planning, financial analysis, and risk management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Excel, SAP, etc.); experience with Siemens Teamcenter would be advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly organised, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal support.
