About the Team

Our Project Manager Operations (PM Ops) team, based out of our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MIVEHCOE) in Redbank, Queensland, provide support and oversight to our Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure they are able to meet business objectives.

About the Role

As the Senior Project Manager Operations, you will lead, mentor and develop the PM Ops team to help support our IPTs to achieve the successful delivery of all MILVEHCOE manufacturing projects. Reporting to the Head of Production Support, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and strategic direction of the PM Ops team, ensuring that they are able to meet company objectives in the short, medium and long term. This key leadership role will play a significant part in shaping the overall Production Planning and Control capability, including production processes and overall strategic planning outcomes.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Previous experience in Production or Manufacturing Management roles, preferably within either automotive, heavy industry or high-volume manufacturing;
  • Previous Project Management experience with natural ability to troubleshoot production problems with high attention to detail;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Process) or relevant disciplines;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders with various technical ability;
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes across complex global matrix organisations;
  • Strong understanding of Production and Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools including Lean/Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, etc.;
  • Advanced MS Office Skills with emphasis on MS Excel; and
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
