PQ Test Technician Intern

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The PQ Test Technician Intern will assist the team with the preparation and execution of Static, Environmental and Ballistic Tests, and other relevant tasks. The intern should be able to learn variety of equipment, gathering data, and analysing the performance and reaction of various test samples.

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:

• Assist with preparation and execution of Environmental tests and Static Motor firings.
• Assist with the conditioning of test samples.
• Assist with Lot Acceptance and Qualification Testy.
• Assist with instrument calibration.
• Assist with first line maintenance (SAP).
• Assist with installing, troubleshooting and repairing of test/programmable equipment.
• Assist to programme and configure the testing range instruments.
• Assist to evaluate, analyse, interpret and generate test reports.
• Assist with procurement of test materials and consumables.
• Adhere to all applicable legislation within RDM.
• Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/ Quality/ Environmental/ Energy.

• NQF 6 in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
• Fully computer literate (all MS Office packages).
• Theoretical knowledge of Oscilloscope, vibration, temperature, pressure, velocity and acceleration measuring systems
• Excellent communication skills and high level of professionalism.
• Good planning and organisational skills.
• A valid driver’s license with driving experience.
