Procurement Specialist

About the Team

Work alongside industry professionals with a team that is growing to meet the manufacturing demand for our product for our Commonwealth. This role will be based on-site at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) site. Have the ability to see what you are procuring and learn the product as it comes to site. 

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager - Electronic Solutions (ES), you will be responsible for coordinating, leading and conducting the sourcing of goods and/or services across the nominated categories within the ES business line.  You will also be tasked with conducting analysis and market research on a variety of sourcing projects.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes: 

• Proven experience & results in end-to-end procurement preferably within a multinational company;
• The ability to demonstrate experience across all Procurement fundamentals – sourcing, tending, contracts, category and Indirects commodity management; market research analysis, reporting and negotiations;
• Strong understanding of Indirect costs associated with Capital Expenditure, Plant & Equipment, Tools;
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
• High level ability to collate and write requirements documents;
• Preferably experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools & in e-Sourcing Tool;
• Proven examples of analytical, qualitative and quantitative abilities;
• An ability to travel interstate if and when required; and
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
