WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Senior Production Planner will be accountable for the development, co-ordination and execution of production plans in line with the sales plan while ensuring quality and timeliness deliverables. The Senior Planner will manage the planning process, guide junior planners/planners and work order administrators, as well contribute to strategic planning initiatives within the organization.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Procurement requirements are processed on time.
- Lead stock count for responsible plants.
- Review of manufacturing Bills of Materials.
- Review of manufacturing bill of processes and production versions.
- Manage and correct MPS and communicate plan for on time delivery to sales plan.
- Review the captured production data and or book production when necessary.
- Arrange inter-site collection of goods and delivery of complete products to other sites.
- Overview the capturing and reporting of works orders and WIP. Resolve discrepancies.
- Provide accurate input into all RFQ and Contract execution meetings.
- Complete and update all management reports (KPI reporting).
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- National Diploma with Commerce/ Production /Supply Chain related majors or any relevant NQF 6 equivalent qualification.
- Extensive experience in ERP/ MRP within a manufacturing or production environment namely SAP.
- 7-10 years’ work experience in the manufacturing/ supply chain/ operational planning environment.
- Previous experience in a planning role.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and conflict management skills with sound persuasive and client relationship skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Advanced computer literacy (particularly in Excel and SAP).
