(Senior) Network Defense Engineer - Web Application Firewall (m/f/d)

• Introduction, operation and further development of various solutions in the area of network defense, such as DDoS protection, web application firewall (WAF) and DNS protection
• Implementation of services in collaboration with the application owners of the business
• Administration and configuration of network security solutions based on security best practices and current threats, including incident response
• Designing, implementing and developing network security services to develop proposals for new solutions or to make additional proposals for existing solutions
• Error analysis and fault clearance in the event of a problem
• Creating and maintaining operating concepts and operating manuals

This position can be filled at the locations in Düsseldorf, Bremen, Kiel, Berlin, Kassel, Neuenstadt and Unterlüß or, if necessary, remotely.

• Successfully completed studies in (business) informatics or completed training in the IT sector (e.g. IT specialist for system integration (m/f/d))
• In-depth knowledge of the implementation and operation of network security solutions such as Farsight, Radware, Cloudflare, Akamai, Infoblox and their optimization
• Solid expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting problems related to the operation of a network platform including all interfaces (network, security hardening & monitoring, hardware, hosting, etc.)
• Professional experience in the areas of security/network architecture and incident response as well as active participation in projects to implement and optimize network security is an advantage
• Enthusiasm for helping to shape an IT transformation
• Good written and spoken German and English
• Willingness to occasionally travel to other locations and participate in an on-call duty
