Information Technology Intern

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Assist users with basic first-line IT support under supervision.
• Help prepare, log, update and close Service Requests and Incidents.
• Provide support with asset tracking, auditing and IT equipment movements.
• Assist with maintaining laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices.
• Support the setup of meeting rooms and video conferencing equipment.
• Help with documentation updates (SOPs, checklists, inventory registers)
• Assist with endpoint checks: antivirus, backups and system health tasks
• Provide general administrative and operational support within the IT department
• Shadow technicians to gain exposure to networks, servers and IT operations
• Contribute to ad-hoc tasks and small projects as required.
• Adhere to all applicable legislation within RDM.
• Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/ Quality/ Environmental/Energy.

• Diploma in Information Technology (NQF 6) or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of computers, networks and troubleshooting.
• Strong willingness to learn and follow guidance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, organised and able to manage tasks responsibly.
• Professional attitude and ability to work in a team.
