Live Firing Test Engineer (m/f/d)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Plan and organize acceptance shooting for all RHUN weapons
  • Conduct equipment verification/weapon testing in accordance with acceptance protocol with customer and quality participation
  • Train RHUN personnel in conjunction with the Training Manager on range operations and its safety requirements.
  • Ensure safety requirements for all firing range activities at the Zalaegerszeg site
  • Work with the Ministry of Defense to ensure that the procedures and processes used are up to standard.
  • Analyze the results, derive any necessary corrective actions and document them
  • Prepare and approve the acceptance protocols after the equipment verification
  • Ensure compliance with the requirements of RHUN's Health, Safety and Environmental Policy and generally take all reasonable steps and precautions to protect the workplace, employees and the environment
  • Creation, review and maintenance of process descriptions and other documents in the area of responsibility
  • Regularly checking the equipment and the building for damage, carrying out minor repairs
  • Arranging/monitoring preventive maintenance and servicing in the area of responsibility and the equipment entrusted for use
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • University degree in engineering (BSc or MSc), e.g. mechanical engineer, mechatronics engineer, quality assurance engineer or comparable engineering specialisations
  • At least 5 years practical experience in shooting (either professionally or privately, e.g. as a member of a shooting club)
  • Professional experience with similar duties desirable
  • Certificate of any weapon knowledge, master at arms or similar
  • Familiarity with federal and state laws and regulations governing the operation of shooting ranges, firearms and explosives
  • Experience on firing ranges, possibly with vehicle mounted weapons
  • Knowledge of operating wheeled and tracked armored vehicles
  • Experience in the use of medium caliber weapons
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, ability to cooperate
  • Language skills: B2 English and Hungarian language skills (spoken and written)
